Hi Barry! I hope all is well with you and the family. Just as is the case for 1887 Old Judges, all Brooklyn Gypsy Queens are outdoor poses.

Got it, and we are all well, thank you. Hopefully on your end too.

What this thread needs is a whole card of a Hall of Famer.

Default Possibly another partial Hall of Famer

Is this Connor a Gypsy Queen? I always assumed it was an Old Judge, but after seeing ctownboy's example with the shaded arch at top and that my card has it as well, makes me think my Connor is GQ all the way. Shown with a couple of Old Judge cards for size comparison.

Hello Brian,

Your trimmed Connor is an altered N175 (small GQ). The Old Judge equivalents of the same pose are script cards. Congrats on being proud owner of a GQ

David's Keefe would be full 2" wide if the border were still intact (the quarter is 0.955" diameter for reference). His card is the large format GQ (2" x 3 1/2" when whole).

Thanks Joe, you just added another card to my type collection without having to spend a dime!

The shape of the Gypsy Queen logo at the card top led people to trim cards into the "cathedral window shape" seen here. Years ago Lew Lipset auctioned off a complete set of large Gypsy Queens, all trimmed like that.
