Default Never expected this

I am still in disbelief I got this one. It was never on my want list because I just thought it was to scarce to ever attain. Overjoyed to add it to my collection.

WOW, I was underbidder on the Joe by a longshot. It was only at 7k around dinner time and was thinking it was a STEAL. I had a snipe in place.
Well, it did meet the last price point of the other '2' that sold last year in HA.
Glad, its in the Net54 family.

Just can't resist centered T206's with nice full borders.

DJ, great Wags Nadja. Congrats, I know you needed that one. Now, if you ever come across an extra one in the throwing pose....

Great Cobb Pete.

A Cobb, followed by a rare back Wagner, can’t beat that. And those photos from 1905 - gotta love the flower bed on the field, was that the batter’s circle?

Thanks Kevin!

This and many more came from the remains of the Kermisch collection. I was familiar with it, having handled a few for sale last year. When the bulk of it was offered in REA I could not wait to get it. There were only a few images and a barren description of what it contained with no listing of the players.

I now know where they originate from, another important piece to the puzzle. Originally I was going to break it up by player and other small groups. Now I don't think I can do so, given the historical importance it may need to stay together.

In the future I will scan them all and document the entire group.

Very happy to add a second overprint T210 to the collection. Thank you Brian for working with me on this one.

Those photos are crazy cool. Can you spare me the suspense and let me know if George Gibson (with Montreal the first half of 1905) is in that group of photos? That'd be so awesome...

Regards,

Richard.
