Can someone explain why PSA sometimes will assign the card but not the auto a grade, and other times grade both? Is it a matter of what you ask for?

That's correct. So on the PSA/DNA form, it looks like this:
1. TYPE OF SUBMISSION: Grading Review Crossover (one type per submission) 2. TYPE OF GRADING: Card Autograph or No Grade (authentic only; card and autograph) If you just want the card graded, but not the autograph, then you would just check the first box. |
