I’ve always favored ‘33 Goudey. It’s got a ton of HOF’ers (4 Ruths, 2 Gehrigs, etc). The commons are relatively cheap in mid-grade. It’s an iconic set that will probably never fall out of favor. It won’t take as long or demand as much funds as The Monster. Should be a solid investment. And then there is that damn elusive Lajoie that makes completing the set so difficult. I know it was a fun set for me to complete. Except for the Lajoie of course...LOL

Congrats! How about the 55 double header set? Lots of star power and underrated in my opinion!

Love it Cole. As someone who's dad followed Jackie since playing for the Montreal Royals, he was always revered in my home city.
Congrats on a great accomplishment. I also love the fact you are doing this because you want to, not because of some stupid Registry competition.

Congrats man!! That's a great, tough run. My suggestion along a similar note is maybe a run of Bazooka Mantles (59-68). I once completed it. They are good looking cards, reasonably priced, and there are some toughies. It's even tougher if you go for no authentics (they don't grade unless cut correctly). Anyway, great accomplishment!

Well done! Any 50s food issue might be fun to go after along with what Orlando said with the Bazookas. Another set i've always been partial too is the Home Run Derby which is full of HOFers.

Here's an idea I was kicking around; HOF rookies, I saw play; or played in my lifetime. Multi-Sport; So depending on your age that could be an easy and inexpensive pursuit or a forget about it type project. Or how about your top ten at each position, etc. If your looking for an easy vintage set anything in the 50's/60's is easily attainable, depending on your standards.

If thinking prewar. Then there are many postcard sets which are loaded with HOFers. I know another member (Steven) just got done completing the PC796 set. You might want to look at that one or a set like that.
Here is what what they look like.
