That's the thing - he took the time to reply when the deal was being consummated.
He took the time to reply once more. But he can't take the time to ship my card? To issue my refund? C'mon... |

I’ve never dealt with either the seller or the buyer here. In this community I tend to give the benefit of the doubt because this isn’t eBay and it feels more close-knit with Leon and others moderating and protecting the community of card collectors.
The seller was wrong to promise and not send the card, and to be more responsive about getting the sale than following through with shipping and post receipt of funds communication. And I have personally felt the disappointment of being excited to get a card and then having to wait for a card to be shipped or delivered. One of my favorite things is getting a n envelope with a vintage card in the mail. But all of that said, the delays described are not extreme for a person who is not a professional seller. It’s a baseball card not an organ for a transplant. I hope it works out to the buyers satisfaction either with a refund or immediate contact and shipment of the card. Good luck. I had one transaction with this person several years ago. After much goading - our transaction was completed- but it took a while. He was run off the PSA boards for similar issues. He is not a scammer or a thief- just seems to be very disorganized and slow at shipping, and also makes excuses about personal issues. I am pretty much sure you will get your item eventually-

It is cheaper than the post office, free tracking and all graded cards are 4oz or under. Then just put the package in the mailbox, the post guy sends if for you and you are done. No need to even go to the post office. |

Within the last minute, I received a PM from Edward with a tracking number.
I'll update once the card is in hand. In the meantime, I rescind the term "thief" from my description, but that is all. I still consider what he's done extremely wrong, dishonest, and not trustworthy at all. The silver lining is this is the first bad deal I've had here. Hopefully it'll be the last. |

Edward's original BST posting offered two cards - the Clemente RC and a 52T Mays. I was the buyer of the Mays. I purchased on the 1st of June. Card was very well packed and arrived today - the 8th. Not super quick - but I'm good with the delivery. I had not previously contacted Edward about delivery of the card - but also received a PM with the tracking info within the past hour (and coincidentally the post man arrived just a few minutes later). I imagine that PM was a result of the postings here and maybe a tickle from Leon. In any event... I'm happy with the card and there are no complaints from me about my deal with Edward.

I'm glad to hear you received it safe and sound.
Wanna sell it? Haha that's a good looking card. Quote:

Nope. I've been under-bidder on I don't know how many lower grade Mays over the past dozen or so years - price constantly creeping up and me always trailing the market. Finally I've got it and I'm holding onto it. Already freed from that slab and taking his place next to Virgil Trucks in my binder. Not a blazer by any means but certainly good enough for my low to mid grade set. For quite a while it'd been the only "lower" number that was missing from my set. Still got a bunch of highs (including Mays and Mathews) that I'm chasing and that'll likely be a long time coming. |

No experience with this seller but if you want to trade and/or sell cards you have to be prepared to ship and communicate in a timely fashion. If there is a delay, the buyer has a right to know how long..... To hold a few hundred dollars from someone without letting them know what's going on is just sloppy.... If you want to ship on your time schedule maybe you should not be selling/trading cards and should consign such items.....

I'm not saying he didn't do anything wrong, mind you.
