I don’t collect this set or printing plates, but I couldn’t pass this up. J.W. Lockett was an All-American at my alma mater and local university, the University of Central Oklahoma (Central State College at that time).

Interesting item, Casey. Didn't know a lot about JW so looked him up on Wikipedia. Looks like he was an awesome athlete.

I’m going to do some additional research becuase I think he may have been the first black athlete at the school. This was in a city that was not accepting of African Americans at the time.
