Gary, I joined Gavel Snipe as well. Coming from BidNip, I am used to these sniping services only having one server (which Gavel Snipe appears to have). What appealed to me with Gixen, was they had TWO servers, in case the first one failed.

Gavelsnipe for me.....for many years now and can't remember a failure but there have been a few, which I* think might not have been on the Gavelsnipe side of things. Great service.

What would happen if you put in the same exact snipe with multiple services?

I tried Gavelsnipe for the first time yesterday. I used their default 20 second buffer, beat the current high bid, and then got re-sniped by the guy whose bid I beat. When manually sniping I do it with 5 seconds left. Gavelsnipe warns that they can't guarantee that snipes at less than 20 seconds will go through. How much of a danger is that? Doing it manually I've only had a handful not go through in 5 seconds, do the automatic snipes really take that much longer?

I have successfully won two items with Gixen now. So I am 2-0. I set the main server for 4 seconds, and the backup server for 3 seconds. Not had a problem yet with my small sample size.

I've used justsnipe for years and every single snipe has gone through with 6 seconds to go unless it was already under the current bid.

20 seconds sounds like an eternity. I set mine for about 5 or 6 seconds and let the chips fall where they may....It extremely rarely doesn't work, and if I can't afford to lose something I bid myself

I agree. At 20 seconds the auction is just starting really. Other than PWCC that is.

I always used 6 seconds on gavel snipe and never had an issue. I agree that 20 seconds is an eternity in the sniping world.
