Thanks for the kick in the rear end to buy this, eBay 10% Bucks promo!
![]() It's a beater but a beaut nonetheless. Especially for $5 at a shop in Vegas. Gotta love the stores that specialize primarily in new wax.

My first R&R Auction experience -- love the 30 minute, extended bidding starting at 7pm Eastern, but man this auction brought some very healthy prices. Lets see how the shipping goes (obviously, card is not in hand yet)

Ryan, I would have been shocked if you hadn't won that Wagner card!
Well done!

Totally OT, but Brian, your album connected to SGC is totally awesome. Is that part of the new SGC stuff? That is really a cool album -- great pickups too!

Hey Ryan, compared to your collection you’ve posted , mine is the minor leagues, but I do enjoy it.
The SGC registry gets criticized a lot, but for a visual representation of a collection, I like it. I’m not competing with anyone, I’m just charting what I have. This scrolling view has been around a few years, I hope they don’t eliminate it, but could always improve it I suppose. I’ve got a few more sets listed besides my SGC HOF Collection. I did some editing this afternoon. NOW...back to the eye candy, I love the monthly pickup threads! Happy Collecting all !

Snagged this today! Looks silly for a 2! And my first Diamond Star! I was looking through a bunch ending today and it really is one of the more beautiful sets, IMO. I wanted to bid on them all but controlled myself. haha

Description on the Babe Lot only described it as a Rare auto in a not often seen hand written format. What is interesting is that the Post card was written while Babe and the Montreal Canadiens made hockey history when they embarked on the FIRST ever European Tour with the Detroit Red Wings that saw the FIRST ever NHL Exhibition Game in Europe....the FIRST NHL games outside of North America. They would play 9 exhibition games on England and France.
The Babe in this post card speaks of," just getting back from one a few minutes ago", and is Paris. He actually scored in the game that he makes a mention of. Very historical piece with great hockey content. The beautiful Cy Rigler ball just drew me in... Lucky |
