I have no idea why this particular card is rated at only a 1. But I must say that, of the Orange Borders that I have seen, 1 is an unusually high number. I do not think that I have ever seen an Orange Border with a higher number. It may have something to do with cards that are hand cut. Of course, this did not seem to have a bad effect on the original Mastro T206 Wagner.........

Ted, wasn't sure, just thought I'd ask.
I was at the Halper/Sotheby's sale 20 years ago (wow, time flies), and I think it went for around $85k then. Chris- I love that 1915 Wagner premium, great image of him. Last edited by MVSNYC; 05-06-2019 at 01:23 PM. |

Love the way this thread starts. The W600 Wagner in the Burdick catalog is definitely one of the cards that drew many collectors to the hobby. Such a beautiful card. Thank everyone for sharing such a wonderful assortment of Wagners!

Ryan:
You might already know this but HOF Executive Ed Barrow is also pictured on that Paterson image (middle row, second from left). |
