Steve, two total awesome cards. Congrats. I can’t believe Val would part with a t214 Wajo- you must have worked very hard on that one!

Can't believe I was able to pull this absolute stunner down from Heritage last night. Although not identified by Heritage in its description, this signed supplement comes from the Doc Steen collection, which made its way to auction on May 16, 2015. I now have 18 of the possible 53 from that collection.
From the original auction in 2015: Dr. Clarence G. "Doc" Steen, began collecting baseball autographs in 1910 and he collected his entire life passing away in 1965. Doc Steen sent players photos to sign, most in the form of these premiums, storing them carefully and out of the light. After his passing these signed photos were placed in a safety deposit box where they remained for decades. As a result of this careful handling and storage the majority of his collection are signatures that rate 8-10 on a scale of 1-10.

Absolutely stunning Nap item! The signature is amazing on that one. And so is the provenance!

Another factor in my decision is that I am a much bigger fan of real-photo, black-and-white cards than I am of the colorful, artist-created cards (except for the T206 WaJo portrait, the best looking pre-War card ever made). So, I'm happily working on back runs of WaJo's 1916, 1917, and 1921-22 real-photo issues.
