Straight 9's of this variation go for huge amounts of money, so I happily grabbed this slightly off-centered one for just a fraction of the price...

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Overpaying yesterday is simply underpaying tomorrow.

Darren,

That's not even that bad OC at all. Seriously, why the OC designation on that one? Nice pick up man!

Because it's otherwise an 8, and PSA cuts those off at no worse 70/30. So apparently they did not judge the T/B centering on that card to be at least that good - looks like maybe 25/75 to me. I will agree it doesn't look bad at all, but the centering standards above about a PSA 6 just get tougher and tougher...which I suppose is the point.

I've already posted this card in another thread on the main board, but since it's a postwar May pickup, I'll post it again here. I'm just excited to finally add one to my collection, so I'll take every chance I get to show it off

I have always loved this 1977 Burger King card, because unlike the airbrushed abomination in the regular Topps set, this one actually shows Reggie decked out in pinstripes...
