Depends on your windows. Crappy windows will fade a card in a few months, decent windows will take several months to a year with the card placed directly in the window.
Cards faded this way stick out like a sore thump compared to real missing color cards. Please report back with pics if possible of your experiment. |

Let's just say that I forget they are in there, they've been in the windows for maybe a decade by now.
