Red Background -- Cards

Do some more research Peter. Too many nice red cards have been posted on this thread to get in a back and forth with you about the authenticity of a $50 card from the 80s. Thanks for your opinion.

You posted the counterfeit Ethan, not me. And you're the one insisting on its authenticity despite the obvious contrary evidence. But feel free to mock me. Or was there a limited run of a handful of genuine centered cards with a different font? If that's the case I'll apologize.

You forgot to add the piss poor picture quality like most counterfeit cards have. Now can I mock you?

Is this one (not my card) fake as well? I really don't care if my copy is a fake or not. One of my first pick ups as a young boy...when he was playing here in Vermont. It's not for sale, so I'm good reguardless.

My understanding is that the real Griffeys are significantly off center and that the font on his name and OF are darker, and align differently, than the ones on that card. I do not believe there were two legitimate and different printings of this card, and it is well-known the cards were counterfeited.

Cool. I only followed up because you insisted it was good and I happen to be familiar with the issues surrounding this card. And in the spirit of the thread, here's another red card.
