Based on the picture it falls in the middle. I will take scans of some of the really light ink cards I have and throw them up. Luke L may have some as I sent him scans for an article a couple years ago.

That would be great if you get a chance. Personally I don't think P42s get the respect they deserve. They are quite scarce....

Sorry to bump an older thread but I found an image of what I consider a light blue Piedmont back that is not a P42 and wanted to share it with Adam.
What do you think of this one Adam? Do you consider this a light blue Piedmont comparable to the light blue P42s? It looks light to me at least.
