Default Cheers to an Ebay Seller with Integrity...

I asked the ebay seller what the supposed 'stain' was on this card:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-TOPPS-...UAAOSw6Fhd8RFQ

He got back to me and said it must be the '67' written on the back near the card number (which I hadn't even noticed). I replied that PSA clearly messed up the slab and it should have been labeled as marked, with an MK qualifier, which is generally considered much worse than an ST by collectors, and suggested he revise the listing to let potential bidders know what's going on. In checking back, I was extremely happy to see the seller updated the listing (in the title and the body) to make it perfectly clear what the truth of the matter was. Good on him!!

(No, I don't know the seller or have a horse in this race. It is 100% random.)

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

Default good for him

Nice to see someone with the class not to argue or make excuses but to accept the truth! Not a bad card at all, by the way..... for $10 right now someone is getting a great deal!

Since it is eBay we all have stories. Here is a recent one I have. I ws looking for Wade Boggs bats. Seller had a pro stock model listed as a game issued bat. I messaged the seller saying it was a pros tock bat because Wade Boggs had never used that model. I also gave them the max price I would pay for that type of bat.

To my surprise the seller changed the description. They also changed the opening bid to what I said was my max. So I put in a bid and was out bid almost instantly. Item never got another bid. Then 2 days later was relisted. I looked at the bid history and it was set to private.

So a honest seller changed the listing and them shill bid me.

I let them relist it a few times before making a seriously low ball offer they accepted.

For a shameless plug I have a altered card honestly listed in the BST section.

Just when you thought you've seen all the douchebaggery you could handle, a new entrant jumps into the fray.

The card that started this thread was sold, and lookie here, it has now been relisted by the new owner (at a big price) WITH NO MENTION WHATSOEVER of the mark that the original seller pointed out to bidders (in both the title and the body of the listing) after I brought it to his attention...

I sent the new seller a message about the mark. They ended the listing and relisted it mentioning the mark.
