Day 17 (January 17, 2020 – 017)

Brooks has quite a few figurines and there are several using the same pose from the ’70 World Series, Game 3, when Brooks dove to his left to stab a liner off of Johnny Bench. This piece is a 1993 Salvino cold cast porcelain figurine with Brooks’ autograph; believe they were /1000. This really is one of the nicer figurines of Brooks; looks cool on the shelf.

I think they used some great looking photographs on the front of Baseball Magazine. The photo of Brooks from 1964 is a such a nice pose, plus you have the BLOCK letter ORIOLES with the Star-Spangled Banner Sesquicentennial patch.

I might be in the minority, but I really liked all the Oriole uniforms back in the day to include the caps. The block letters were just a nice change and alternative in my view.
