I think it is Jim McKay. Feel like I have heard it was him before.

I vaguely remember a portion of some of those games were shown on the Wide World of Sports

It struck me at work today that there was nice coverage of this Tour in the 1972 Yearbook, so I thought I'd flip through it and see if I could find anything
on McKay's presence (or lack thereof):

One more random Cal item this evening. My wife used to work for an electrical engineering firm. Cal became the spokesman for one of the industry catalogs they received. She surprised me with this Cal Ripken safety poster.

THANKS! That’s got to be McKay on the card; you were correct. You can see a 2 on the card, but it must have been 28. Great information...
