They'd have to put Lefty O'Doul in first. I can't think of anyone in already who got in for their contributions to minor league baseball. Dunn and O'Doul would be my picks though.

Chris, what am I missing here? Jack Dunn had a career .245 BA and 4.11 ERA. Is this is the player you're talking about?

Definately not getting in due to his playing career. Read the Sabr link above, he did a lot after he retired from playing.

The SABR article indicates that he did not use a fielder's glove. His T206 shows him using one. Evidently at some point he started wearing a glove.

As long as I have a Horner cabinet of him I will support his candidacy

Joking really - I personally don't think he has much of a case if O'Doul can't even get considered.
