Here' s an Orioles card I'm glad I picked up many years ago. It's the 1956 Hocus Focus of Hal Smith. For those unfamiliar with the set, they are small cards (1" x 1.5") that you could develop yourself as the wrapper demonstrates.
Hal Smith was the only Orioles of the 18 baseball subjects. Smith was also in the 1955 set that contained 23 baseball players. The only difference I know of is that Smith is #17 in 1955 and #15 in the 1956 set. Here's a scan of the 1956 card along with the wrapper (not mine) 1956 Topps Hocus Focus.jpg 151718Pack19659.jpg |

I really enjoy viewing all the Brooks/Baltimore items from everyones collection. In fact, several of the items I've been researching for future purchases. I'm sure many of you wanted to hear that (supply and demand). lol
1956 line up card signed by Manager Paul Richards. The game took place on Sept. 9th at Memorial Stadium against the Red Sox. O's lost 3-2 in 12 innings with Connie Johnson pitching 11 innings. Baltimore had a HOF'er at third day that day.....George Kell. Can't believe PSA put a sticker on the reverse.

Did they put the sticker on the actual lineup card? That’s crazy! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

They sure did! If it's any consolation, at least it's not on the front.

They were authenticating the signature.

A couple of Bazooka items that I don't think have been posted yet.
The 1959 Bazooka Gus Triandos and Hot Iron Transfer. The 1959 Bazooka cards are hard to find, but Triandos is a short print, so he doesn't show up as much as some others. I'm happy with the cut of mine. 1959 Bazooka.jpg Hot-Iron Transfer 1959 Bazooka Hot-Iron Transfer.jpg |

Very cool Triandos item. A favorite Bazooka example!
Regarding the iron on...is it large in size? |

Thanks; they advertise it as being fairly large and I guess that's a decent size.

Day 73 (March 13, 2020 – 073)
Today we have an advertising photo of Brooks in a nice suit along with a model. Does this photo scream the 70’s or what?!? I love the background color used in this photo as well as just the overall look. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe this is a photo used to advertise Hamburgers (not the food) the retailing clothing chain. I recall a Hamburger store where my father used to shop located in the Charles Center. Hamburgers ultimately closed shop in the early 90’s. Of course this photo relates to baseball as well; can’t you see Brooks with a baseball in his hand… Brooks Robinson advertising photo Day 73 Photo Brooks in suit with baseball.jpg |

That Hocus Focus card is very nice. I don’t think I’ve really even seen one. I also really didn’t know very much about the cards so appreciate the education on this issue. |
