I've thought the same thing and have recently started collecting signed versions of the cards, though at a slow pace. I've got 14 of them now, with Hank being the only tough one. Most of them I've picked up recently TTM. Still quite a few who sign freely or can be had through signings, but guys are getting old - 1972 was almost 50 years ago.
