As far as negro league cards go.... but it is an "important card" due to the date (as close to a "rookie" as is reasonable to get)... the fact that he is in a Hilldale uniform and the dearth of material from the 1930s...

All and all, was quite surprised. I was bummed that I did not get the Charleston, but it was only a slight upgrade for me, so I bowed out after it hit 40k!...

O'well, we have to get em next time Kenny....

Picked these up the other night from Heritage. The Lincoln Publishing is actually an almost complete set (19/20); I now have an extra Plank and Bender if anyone is interested

Ha. No, I didn’t. But hopefully one day.

Joe, the past few Heritage auctions and REA had some crazy rare stuff of guys I collect; things you may not see for 5+ years, if ever (an E92 red crofts, let alone an HOFer, a near complete Lincoln publishing set, a t216 wagner with 1-2-3 back). So yes, it’s been a busy (and expensive) few months for me.

wonderful card. There are a lot of ways to collect cards, but, in my opinion, it's the most enjoyable when your choice reflects real knowledge of the history of the game and of the hobby, too. very impressive card.

Working on the world's fastest Billy Crowell pose run. I picked up 2,3,and 4, in the last few weeks, and pose 5 is on the way. Looking for pose 1, plus upgrades and team changes. Crowell played for both New Orleans in 1892, and Houston in 1899. Also, included an 1892 Pelicans team cabinet with Crowell pictured top row 4th from viewer's left, that I picked up earlier this year...

Thank you, Kevin. Yes, that did cross my mind. It has happened before when trying to put a pose run together, but it is a fun pursuit. Luckily, I have plenty of other players to work on. I'll update my progress. Rob
