![]() Looks like a set of 50 cards (maybe?), released in 5 waves of 10. There will be back variations. I'll probably buy the first wave and see how I like them.

I thought these were awesome as a kid in 2002 when Topps first did it, but now I really wish they'd make the images look remotely T206 like. The smoothing photoshop filter they use does not even slightly resemble the T206 art style.

That's true; they'd look better as pointillist dotted images like the original lithographs.

On sale now. Price is steep and not much chance of autographs. I'm not nearly as interested.

So, ten card packs for $15 each? I guess it could be worse.

I popped for the 20 packs. I am an original T206 and Topps 206 junkee.
I never fell for the A&G or Gypsy Queen products though. 2002, 2009, and eTopps T206. The 2010 Topps 206 fell short for me. I've been following the comments on Blowout Forums and people are wrapped up on the 50 subjects checklist and the back variations. I hope Topps surprises everyone with the "Pose" variations. They already do this with their Base Topps set, so why wouldn't they do it here? I suspect there will be more than 50 cards of the 50 subjects. Last edited by Farm_kid; 05-14-2020 at 11:46 AM. |

Well, there will be 250 total cards it seems, 50 per wave. So yes, Trout could come back with another pose. Not a fan of the Ty Cobb back being used, since most people don't really count it as a T206 and it should only go with Ty Cobb. I know they're a little more flexible than that when making these sets.
