Posting this in the proper spot. I love the Living Legends set by Ron Lewis. Making it a goal to collect all 20 of them that are signed by the players. Yogi makes the fourth player for me. Already have Mantle, Mays and Snider, I have to get around to posting those too!

I picked this item up a few years ago and keep it rolled up in a box in the closet. I know about a few of the signatures on it, but looked closed the other night when I ran across some information. I will not show the whole item. It is a 3' x 5' canvas Levis banner signed by the members of the U.S. Pan American Team. I want to scan all of the Olympians that are on it, but it will be a massive undertaking so I have put it aside.

For you baseball fans:

mcguire.jpg

It also has the signatures of Billy Swift, John Marzano and Cory Snyder.

Here is the best signature on it:

Jordan,-Michael-(1983).jpg

The person who signed above/on top if him is a 1960 gold medalist in rowing. It does not get better than this. Not only his number, but also college and sport.

One last one. Olympic gold medalist, above average NBA player, smooth jazz star and the first member of the 1984 Olympic basketball team to pass away. The best signature I have seen of his and I got him a few times in person.

Tisdale,-Wayman-(1983).jpg

Good luck on your project! Really nice painting.

Back with two fresh pickups from the most recent Wheatland Auction. Very excited for these two new additions. Maybe I'll also make it a mission to get an Auto from everyone in the 500 Home Run Club

It's not a big name like many of the others on this thread, but I just received this 1961 Fleer Denny Galehouse, I bought it off of eBay from Net54 member KHW.

Almost 8 years ago, I started working on a signed 1963 Fleer set and have slowly got to the point where I have signed versions of 63 out of the 66 cards in that set. About 3 years ago, I decided to branch off into 1960 and 1961 Fleer as well. IT was a bit more complicated because, while '63 was contemporary players, '60 and '61 were retired greats. Many of those greats had died long before these sets were issued. By my reckoning, 40 of the players in 1960 Fleer and 95 of the subjects in 1961 were still alive at the time the cards were issued. As it stands today, I have 12 signed cards from 1960 and this Galehouse is my 23rd from 1961.

I am mainly a set collector, so this is a side project and, to date, I have mainly been poaching the more affordable cards. The only one I have so far that was involved a major splash of cash was a 1961 Ted Williams.

Last set of pickups for now. Been doing a little too much damage to the wallet lately! Two more Ron Lewis Prints signed by Harmon Killebrew and Eddie Matthews.

Wrightfan - your pursuit of the golf HOF postcards has been incredibly impressive. I made a very small attempt at this; got up to the mid 20s. But I also collect HOF logo autographed baseballs, which can obviously get pricey, so it never really took off on. Great job on your pursuit.
