This is just my opinion. For the purpose of collecting I would use
the one year. You might go to PSA registry master set and see what they use for the years of the different postcards. I have done some study on this and here is what I know. Most "postcards" were used by teams for various purposes. Many were provided to newspapers or giveaway at the park and were probably used over a period of time. For the purpose of collecting they are called postcards. With the Brett's there is one year (don't recall which right now) where his auto is stamped on some. I think those were given to members of the Brett fan club but don't really have any varification. The royals didn't really keep track of any of that at that time. Hope this helps |

This one has sold on eBay a couple of times now. Looks exactly like a team issue. But not on any checklist I can find. Wondering if it’s a more recent creation. I have this one in hand. It seems to be on similar stock and the same size as other team issues.

I try to build the sets for the Photocards of the Royals, and I can’t make heads or Tails on years.
So confusing. |

Are there any markings on the back, handwritten? That can give a clue to the source of your George Brett PC.

Unfortunately, no. Blank back with no writing. Just like the other team issues. Same size as well.

Good evening:
The photo you have posted is obviously a Royals postcard. Unfortunately right this minute I can't recall the year, but will look around. I do think this is one you don't see alot of. I can tell you the image was in a yearly program so it was pretty easy to pin down the year. But again, photos could be taken on year and posted in another year or years. |

I’ve seen so many different labels on the years. I find it particularly frustrating because some master checklists have the same card listed in multiple years and there is clearly no way to discern the actual year even if it was issued in different years, which it’s very likely some of the images were. I’ve given up trying to identify an actual year for all the George Brett’s and just keep a list of the images I know exist. This last one was interesting because in 20+ years of collecting these I had never seen it. Then in the past month I’ve seen two for sale. Could be coincidence but that’s why I was wondering if it was a more recent creation.
