new to the forum, just wanted to confirm - this bonds error card is only found in opening day sets? don't want to waste some $ on a wax box assuming that's true. thanks!

It's a Donruss Opening Day card; both the Error and Corrected versions can only be found in the boxed set.

If anybody cracks more of these sets and does find an error, I really hope they will check to see if the regular Bonds and/or Ray are in that set too. That would solve the mystery.
After all the discussions, I'll bet it was actually a Johnny Ray error card with the wrong name. It would be great to get that confirmed one way or the other.

My recollection in opening a case of these in the early 1990s is that the "corrected" cases had both the Barry Bonds (correct picture) and Johnny Ray card-

It's not a Topps reprint from Cards Your Mom Threw Out. Those look like this:
.jpg?id=b863ace0-ad2d-4180-9815-27b854897119&size=original) 2010 Topps - The Cards Your Mom Threw Out - Original Back #414.2 - Frank Thomas (No Name on Front) Courtesy of COMC.com Might be a photocopy of the front and an original 1990 back. Back is totally different that the Topps reprint, and the borders aren't wide enough to be a real card.
