You may have to go higher up the chain. Is the front/back combination a recognized combination? Or is it one that could only be a printer's scrap because it was unreleased?
Now that they break out all the different backs/factory numbers, it may not "exist" in the official "set" of pack-released T206 cards. When you submitted, did you comment "SLAB AS AUTHENTIC IF IT DOES NOT GET NUMBER GRADE"?

I just checked my scans of these Yellow/Browns that I've put together over the years and all were either raw or SGC graded except for the few that were already posted here in PSA holders. So I've got nothing more to contribute than what already has.
I remember both companies making a change after the first Old Mill Blue was found and graded. When the second was being prepped for grading, that's when a new policy took effect but I don't know the details and that's also why I still haven't graded my Blue Old Mill. It would be nice to have it graded but I don't need either of them to tell me it's real. I already know that. So I've been in a holding pattern for awhile now, when it comes to Third Party Grading.

For cards such as in OP, all that you need are an AUTH grade.
The card is in rough shape and obviously it's missing colors. |

agreed whats being said here.. and yes i did check the authentic box on the submission form.... seems like a mistake if they thought i needed the flip to say missing color... ill resubmit it and just list the card as a t206 seymour on the submission form with no mention of color missing..

Maybe if it had perforated edges and the hallmarks of an obvious CJ fake, PSA would grade it for you.
![]() I understand the hesitancy to label it as missing color or other descriptives, but at least give it an A, recognizing it's a T206 for crying out loud. Was going to send the bulk of my collection to PSA for grading soon, but I think I'll pass and just hold them as is. Seems there's a lot of turmoil over there right now. I used to be a bigger fan of SGC but I really don't like their new holders. Bill |

I would almost put money on it that PSA will start putting "color variation" on it when they figure out that people will pay a premium for the card. That little bit of text on the flip could be worth another $50 or more on their submission fee if they determine the value of the card is hyper inflated because of the "color variation".
Pretty soon we'll be looking at Pop Reports with this new added tag and then everyone will be able to figure out that the "color variations" must be rare and therefore expensive. damn the voices in my head...
