Actually teared up a little and I don't even have kids. Thanks for sharing!

Nice story! She's a keeper.

You can't put a price on meaning.

For me, a card I value in my mostly 1950's and earlier collection is a lone beater 1982 Topps Bill Lee.

When I first began collecting as a kid I gave my dad a stack of 1982 topps to review for stars and it was his top pick. He loved the Spaceman. I have always, held it in high regard as it was my first best card, and makes me think of my dad.

Thanks for sharing and it brought back memories for me too. I am lucky to have a couple of generous daughters who would always share like that. Awesome.
Keep it fresh and she will remember that. Pull out the cards every so often and just look at them with her around.
My girls are turning 27 and 25 this week and we still share so many sports memories.
Enjoy every sandwich with her (and everything else).

Those cards will forever be in your collection and I'm sure they will be categorized as "special". Reminds me of a Xmas gift I received from my sons in 2012... 1960 Roberto Clemente PSA 6. Still my favorite card!
