Here are three background color variations from everybody's non-favorite strip card set, W9316. Bucking the 1920's trend, they are awash in color, or mostly washed out color. Except for the red flaming lips.

I started collecting the 1920's Exhibits cards about 10 years ago. I really enjoy the vintage photography.

Here are both variations of the 1928 F50 Yuengling's Ice Cream card of Sam Rice - one with the Babe Ruth back and one without. Yuengling claims to be the oldest brewery in America. My wife and I recently experienced the Yuengling Brewery tour in Pottsville, PA. There was a small museum area with vintage Yuengling memorabilia, including a few items pertaining to the Prohibition years when Yuengling converted to making ice cream. I asked our tour guide and the museum area attendant how Yuengling's 1928 baseball cards were distributed, but they had no idea what I was talking about.
