Hello. Are either of your Paul Hines for sale? If not, would you by chance know where to get any GC or Old Judge of him? Thank you.

Try using the instant messaging feature in the board by clicking on the person's screenname in their post and selecting "Send a private message to...." in the dropdown menu. It is normally considered bad taste to respond to a discussion thread asking about items being for sale or not.
You could also make a post in the Net54 Buy/Sell/Trade section under the appropriate sport and date range of the cards you're looking for.

I'm making a lot of progress on this set, but I don't have either Hines, batter or CF. If I see an OJ Paul Hines for sale, I will let you know. Is Hines your relative? I'm glad you bumped this thread, as I enjoy reading about this topic.

Yeah, I figured, but for a first post, I thought it was pretty good. I doubt Val would want to part with his in his Washington collection.

N284s are the older brother of the E91s. The only N284 baseball card I like is Von der Ahe because it actually looks like him.

Sorry nothing to add about the actual set and the actual year of issue. I'm going to guess some hard core N284 collector has researched the player/team combos to see what year is consistent with the card set.

I think the baseball players are all 1887. I made a bunch of notes earlier this year about the set. This Meyers looks a lot like the actual player...I agree that the generic ones are tough to pony-up for towards the set.

edit to add Meyers(myers) OJ for comparison(not my card)

Thanks for reaching out Val, I appreciate it. And sorry for not following protocol on my post...this is my 1st time joining on here. I am searching for either an OJ or Gold Coin Paul Hines. It's for a project I started years ago to secure a card from each of the Triple Crown winners. I have some big names still to go (Cobb/Gehrig) but the Hines is my 'holy grail'

I've been searching for a Crowley - LaCrosse for years. In fact that particular Ebay alert has about an inch of dust on it. Here are the other 3 LaCrosse players.
