PSA's Unbelievable turnaround times are Horrible!

I am willing to wager the wait times will get worse and worse....9 months will seem like express a year from now. I hope not....but just looking and how long it is taking simply to log items in.

It has to be extremely difficult to hire for such a specialized position. You can't just run someone through a training period for a couple weeks and hope to have it work.

I would guess it is a bit of a revolving door as well. How many people get hired as a grader either for a good job (and find out the pay for such tedious work isn't worth it) or specifically for a temporary education to "learn the ropes internally" for a few months and then start submitting on their own and make a pile of cash?

I heard a ex-Beckett grader sold his two Pok�mon Charizard cards for $10,000. was recently seen at a card show cherry picking ???

I have a submission I sent in September 3 marked received October 7. Made it to grading but have been stuck there for 6 weeks. On their reseaech, they misidentified all the cards as W575-1. To my knowledge, Jesse Burkett does not exist in that set and only is in Koester Bread. Also the other cards are on thicker card stock Identical to the Burkett card so also makes sense that they are Koeste Bread also but they want to call them W575-1. You would think researchers would be knowledgable on who is in a set and other atributes of cards in a set like thickness of card stock. Scary

sounds like you might be running out of graders ken. there's always csg.

Have an email in to them to see if they grade silks. When mine come back from SGC ungraded, if they will grade them, that is where they are going. Their pricing looked reasonable and remember their graders from other companies. Hopefully an option.

For what it's worth, my two bulk orders that were logged as received by PSA on October 15, just got logged into the system and entered (research & ID phase) on January 15. Just another few months now, and I should be good to go!

I sent my first psa submission in a long time yesterday, so will let you guys know how long it takes. It was 25 cards 1971-2017 and was $12/card plus I had to purchase the annual $59/year collectors club subscription to qualify to do this. Just paid $500 to have a walk through service done on this card. Grade popped just now and received a 10 for auto grade and an N0 for card grade. This means it was altered? Are you kidding me on a $500 submission. For that type of money I would expect some reason not just a grade. I tried calling them and was 103rd in the queue for a call back. Not sure what that will get me but this is ridiculous, never mind the wait times you are all discussing. Jeff W

Is anyone familiar if turnaround times for ticket grading are any better? I was thinking about submitting some tickets for their quarterly special, but wasn't sure if tickets were seeing the same 6+ month turnarounds as cards.
