Additionally, those Gowdy images are neat. I don't know a bunch about him other than his wartime service and coaching the Reds.

Here is the only one that I own. Its of Cy Young at age 70 in 1937 stamped Chicago Tribune on the back.

I dont know if its type 1 or 2, but its on very glossy vintage photo paper

George Grantham Bain Photo of Polo Grounds, which were used at the time by the New York Giants. Photo almost certainly taken at same time as this well know photo from 1909: "Polo Grounds, view from Coogan's Bluff" Seen at: Getty Images. Note the windows in the foreground are at a different angle in the two photos. Interesting note: Luna Park sign in center of photo.
