LOL...It's '69. The year in which Super Bowl III was played. As for what's going on...Super Bowl III was the first one in which the NFL used the name Super Bowl. The only other Super Bowl III pennants I can think of are the individual Colts and Jets pennants. Unlike "Super Bowl" II and most Super Bowls from IV on, there's no pennant featuring both teams for Super Bowl III...unless it's yet to be discovered. Maybe they all designated the 17 point favorite Colts the champs and had to be destroyed.
![]() There are other generic Super Bowl pennants like the ones Greg shared, but they aren't dated so hard to pin down which game they're from.

Yeah I gotta figure out how to get bigger pics with my phone. It denies “actual size” and gives me three other options, all of which are tiny....

I think you’re gonna have to take them on your phone and send them to your desktop computer.

Yes...That's how I do it. Then you get the option to choose a size. I usually go with medium.

I was probably under you on that one. I bid on a couple others too. I thought the 47 was nice, don't see that around much. Those 46's were nice as well. I have that 56 in my collection already, but i though some of them went very reasonable. Nice condition all throughout.

I always get nervous after the auction, worried that the price was elevated due to just one other bidder. But three other snipes were over $1000 US, not too far from the final price. So that was somewhat comforting. Last edited by thetahat; 01-22-2021 at 05:46 PM. |
