Here are 3 potential definitions of prewar, from most expansive to most restrictive with example cards from each decade:
PreWW2 - represented by cards from 7 different decades: 1941 Play Ball (beats US involvement in WW2), 1933 Goudey, 1921 E121 National Caramel, 1911 D310 Pacific Coast Biscuit, 1903 E107 Breisch-Williams, 1895 N300 Mayo Cut Plug, and 1887 N172 Old Judge. PreWW1 - just the D310, E107, N300 and Old Judge. Pre-Spanish American War of 1898 - represented only by the Old Judge card. Brian |
