Welcome Eddie. The Golden Press cards originally came in a book and were perforated to be removed. You can still find some of the books for sale if you look for them. Neat set of some great players. Many post war collectors work on that set as an oddball issue.

Welcome!

1961 Golden Press cards are neat.

I remember my son buying a Ruth for a buck or two while at a cards show with me probably 15 years ago, He was probably about 12.

The prices on these cards, like all cards it seems lately, have gone insane.

Hi there and welcome. Y es I remember the 1961 Golden Press cards. I still have a Lou Gehrig and a Ty Cobb from my youth. I think I would have gotten them around 1966 or so.....1967? Probably my only cards saved from as a kid.
Happy Collecting!
Bob

Welcome Eddie. I love the Golden Press set...only wish Ted Williams had been included, since he had retired the previous year.

I have a loose set and the full book...great! Early Colorization done well IMO
