I guess, at this point, why bother changing the name to what most people are use to?

Wasn't there an auction, maybe this one, Al, where it was proven after the fact, or maybe during the auction, that the Reiser wasn't a true grey back?

Unfortunately, I don't own any either.
It was the REA compete master with full gray run, but the Reiser labeled gray back, wasnt.

I think at one point, I had 70 or so grays. I've had one of every player, including 2 yellow tiger gray backs. That's the real anomaly if anyone cares! I talk more about it when we get to #146 if I'm around.

Thanks, Ted.

Yes, from what I have read and heard, the Yellow Tiger grey backs are the toughest but most desired one sought.

Looking forward to reading more so I hope you're around.

REA has a Reiser gray back in this auction, and it does say that seems to be the rarest of the gray backs. Maybe the yellow tiger one is even harder to find then.

The issue with the House is that grey backs are scarce but finding a grey back that is also a yellow tiger makes it rare. The fascinating thing about the House is that the yellow anomaly appears on both the regular and grey back versions. Surely Ted will explain how this came to be when we get there

Right after I wrote what I wrote above I questioned/doubted myself as I immediately thought; "or is it the Reiser that is the toughest/rarest to find"?
People like, Al, Ted, Toppcat (Dave) and others, however, know a lot more than I likely ever will so I will listen to them and hear what they have to say first before I conclusively say anything more.

We talked about this back in 2017 but it was all Reiser talk, not House.
Tedz mentioned he found finding a Martin gray back was rather tough but I am unsure if he owns a gray back Reiser or a Yellow Tiger gray back House?
