Back when I got into baseball cards again (1990s) and started going to card shows, I was told by multiple other collectors to steer clear of Carl Yastrzemski as he was not a very likeable guy with fans. So while I have a various few cards of his, I have none that are deemed particularly valuable.
I also just finished the entire 53 Bowman sets. In the color set is Solly Hemus, who if you read up on him, was a horrible person. Likewise, Enos Slaughter. I have their cards in the color set, and that's it, just to complete the set. And then there is Ben Chapman and Jake Powell of the old-school Yankees. A couple of real swell guys there. I don't have any of their cards, if they were issued. How about Albert Belle, who threw a baseball at a fan? |
