Well...the money card in a PSA 6 is around a $700 card. So then, you have to ask yourself, what are the values of the other cards.....The other cards, say they grade a PSA 6 are worth between $10-$30 each. Therefore, your $2,000 is a little on the high side. This set also lacks other money cards, other than the one. That hurts it. And unless the others are graded 9 or higher, the values just aren't there.

Maybe contact a sports auction house and consign it to them. May be your best opportunity of getting a good return on you set.
Congrats on the set, very nice! |

Anything less than a PSA 6 or in another holder (SGC, BCCG) basically has no value. You might can group them all together and squeeze a little out, but that is the reality of it.

Interesting, I appreciate your responses. Well... with that being said, if anyone would like to make me an offer please reply or direct message me. Honestly though, Fleer should be commended for making this set. I may be wrong, but there is no other set like it, that captures 80 real life moments of any player, let alone, “The Greatest Hitter of All Time” as Williams wanted to be know as. Imagine if he didn’t lose three years in his prime to serving his country. But, I believe, if you asked Ted, he would say that he wouldn’t want that time back and was instead, proud to serve!

I think if you asked for $1,000 you would find a buyer.

Out of curiosity looking at what is for sale on ebay, and what has sold, I think you are really close at $2K. Maybe a couple hundred over. I wouldn't budge under $1800 for sure, and would be patient at $2K to be honest, especially with the obvious work you've done putting this together and your passion for the set. Several have sold right around there in similar condition.
That said, I think the problem is the fact sort of mentioned here that most don't see the same passion with this set. Personally, as a set collector, I just don't find the appeal. Outside of the SP card, none really have anything that sets them apart...kind of like the Beatles cards or issues of that nature. I can appreciate that these are cards of one of the greatest and actually during his playing days...all the pictures out of uniform and the fact they are ALL Ted cards really turns me off a bit, and I think I am not alone. But again, there is a buyer for everything and if your patient that buyer will be there like the other sets that have sold. Marking it down to $1000 just to blow it out would not be wise. To me this would be a set you build, and keep...or understand it's just going to take a while to sell based on the limited base of collectors. Good luck with it!
