As someone who hasn’t been to any show whatsoever since maybe about 1992 and just recently got back into collecting (mostly relatively affordable raw HOFers), I assume I would be in way over my head to jump back in at the National, and that there probably wouldn’t be much for me in terms of deals. Does that sound right?
Because I live in Chicago anyway, so there’s a part of me that says what the hell, it might be fun to check it out, see some ridiculously expensive cards and maybe meet some people. |

The allure of the national is seeing/hanging w/hobby friends...seeing great cards at the auction house displays/certain dealers that are way out of my league price wise...possibly getting cards/items graded on the premises...and looking for oddball items and raw cards in bargain bins. If you want certain things...and don't mind overpaying for them...it's a must attend!!! |

That was my thinking. For those with a short drive, it is worth attending.

Can't wait to get there! Tickets purchase, hotel set, flights booked. Wouldn't miss it for the world.
My family if vaccinated, nobody has major health concerns, so no risk at all for me so why not? jeff |

You're in Chicago, it's in Chicago, why wouldn't you go? I don't think they will ever have another National in California.

Really looking forward to meeting up with other collectors at the Natty! It's a must see event regardless of whether you buy anything.
For anyone here that likes football or just wants to shoot the sh*t about cards and meet other collectors, we are having a football pizza dinner on Thursday night after the show ends and anyone interested is invited. Just PM for the details. Can't wait to get to Chicago. jeff |

I was a modern card guy who spent little to no time looking at vintage stuff in 18/19. This year I will be tracking down t205/t206 Cobb stuff so I will enjoy talking to and meeting some new dealers, plus the guys I’ve already met at Chantilly/Philly.
Still dabble in modern so I will see all my friends there but like someone said earlier, its a social thing as much as a buying/selling card thing for me. |

My son and I are planning on driving down to the show on Friday or Saturday. We had a great time at the last National we attended and we are planning on having a great time at this one.
