Reviving this old thread to report that I just got back from my LCS with a fresh, factory sealed box of 1991 Donruss ($15.00...seemed like a very fair price). I will be continuing my 30 year quest to pull an Elite out of a pack. I DEFINITELY could have purchased some off of ebay (maybe even the whole set) with all the money I've spent on boxes over the years...but that's not the point, is it?

If I remember correctly the 1991 Elites are in the same location in every box. So make sure the box is Donruss shrinked-wrapped so it is not picked thru. I can't remember the exact location though .

Luckily for me, the box I just bought is shrink-wrapped with the Donruss factory wrapping...so I have a shot! Although I know some of the boxes I bought over the years have not been wrapped. I didn't realize they were all in the same spot.
