Beware of some pennant lots in the Huggins and Scott Auction that just opened. I see at least 3 lots with reproduction pennants that are not disclosed, and are being sold as original...
913 916 930 Hope this is helpful! |

Yes but I have seen repros of the molester pennant, too, on cardboard-like felt.
On a related note, I wish Mitchell & Ness stamped their repros. Their existence screws up the market. |

Lot 2059 in the current REA is a great photo, as it puts a specific 1916 date on some Brooklyn Pennants we've discussed here. Very rare to be able to put a specific date on pennants this early. There just aren't many "pennant photos" like this to have survived.
My dumb new laptop won't allow me to copy/paste a link, but thought that many here would find the photo interesting. |

Anyone know of any Superbas/Robins pennants besides the ones from the bakery? |

The photo was taken at game #1 of the 1916 World's Series at Braves Field; and, the woman on the far right is Mrs. Ed McKeever, the owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers--er, Robins--er, Superbas! And to Greg's point, this has to be the earliest Brooklyn pennant to feature the nickname, "Dodgers," thereon because most simply read "Brooklyn" from that era. Apparently, they stocked up on pennants before boarding their train to Boston because there's no less than 5 Brooklyn pennants depicted in the photo if you look carefully enough.
