I agree that it was once in a wood frame. 1910 +/- 5yes. Either a family member loved their amateur boxer a lot, or he was a known fighter. The hairdo was so popular that it looks like a dozen guys that are all not a match.

At first I thought a young Chico Marx, but then the hair made me think maybe Groucho.
