Thousands of new collectors who instantly spend five and six figures on cards have just entered the hobby during COVID.

And it wouldn't shock me at all if the true number was much higher. Unless you're talking specifically about pre-war collectors only, then the numbers would be a lot lower obviously. But there are a ton of new collectors on the modern side. Hell, I'd wager good money that there are at least 1,000 new collectors who have spent 5 figures on cards since the pandemic who aren't even old enough to drive a car yet. |
