Definitely a wet ink transfer. 1933 Goudey cards with red backgrounds are frequently seen with red on the back.
I would be curious if anyone has seen a similar printing oddity...this Luque has non-reversed print on the front. I have shown it before, but always worth peeking at again. Brian
