People in the hobby for the money (and let's be honest, the chicks!) don't have a true love for the history of the game, or real appreciation for the pieces of history they acquire. It's just another way that they can show off.

When card values decrease, they're going to be cranky.

Some are going to find out the hard way that the pot o' gold they saw at the early part of the pandemic may ultimately be a mirage. If profit was their only motivation for getting into the hobby, I have no sympathy for them.

I will gladly state the obvious. It's politics, politics, politics. Some people want to pretend it's not politics, but it's freaking politics. The sooner this threads is closed, the better.

Someone on this board has the handle "here to have fun" and I wish I had thought of that. That's exactly how I feel.

The playoffs are starting, and if the Dodgers can just beat the Cards on Wednesday, all will be right with the world.
