I remember Sid Fernandez being large and in charge, for the first 6 innings of a game anyway. Then he'd fall apart pretty quickly after that. I wonder if that had been different had he not carried around that spare tire.

How can we forget the tragic story of Hideki Irabu, who passed away at age 42, and his nickname bestowed by The Boss, the Fat "blankety-blank" Toad.

Such a tragic story for the Japanese Nolan Ryan.

You can't make a hefty list without the Jumbo package in.

Desiderata

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Strive to be happy.

Can't wait to see a good John Kruk picture. He used to say "I'm not an athlete, I'm a baseball player".
