Yeah, in that same interview, he said they were averaging something like 100,000 cards a day before the shutdown - while being able to grade 40,000. So they were losing ground every single day.

Do the people invited still have to pay the cover charge --- sorry--- membership?
They pretty much have to fall back to lower levels sometime. Their entire success is based on the registry competition. If nobody sends in their 25 cent card for grading they'll end up with a registry like SGC where my 5 1981 Topps accounted for a non negligible portion of the pop report, and ranked something like second. |
