Dean, that Cobb orange background should be housed in Ft. Knox for safekeeping; it is so difficult and rare to find one. Great snag. Definitely a keeper. I was bidding against you for it but it just got too expensive. Hope your bank manager isn't mad at you.

They are. I stopped collecting the non-portraits unless the HOFer has no portrait (e.g, Speaker)

This is a fun thread. Seeing everyones portraits laid out is pretty cool.

Chris B, I 100% agree. Nice Red Cobb addition...

A few more I've not yet seen listed.

Fortunately that wasn't me. I was lucky enough to pick mine up before the bank manager needed to get involved. LOL. I agree though, difficult and rare.

Great stuff guys. So tough to beat a nice looking T206 portrait.

Sarno, those Hindu's are off the charts. Sure wish I had grabbed a Hindu earlier.

Troy, that's a blazer!

Dean, thank you for the kind words...I so admire your Matty Dark Cap run; it's special.

I don't do Auctions anymore. Except the Blue Chase (red HINDU) shown here, I've acquired these 12 gems (and many more) for my four T206 sets directly from purchases (cash
and/or trade). I've always found this to be the more reasonable way to acquire Sports cards.
REA and Lee Behrens' (Sterling) Auctions are the only two auctions I occasionally check-out.

------ PIEDMONT set (522 cards) ------------------------------ SWEET CAPORAL, Factory #30 set (468 cards)------------- SOVEREIGN set (408 cards)
. . .

. . .

AB 460 set (73 cards), need only 1 more to complete
