Not really pre-war, but an unusual card of a pre-war player. This is a 1952 Toronto Maple Leafs team issued deckle edge postcard of the team's manager, Burleigh Grimes.

Chris, great example. And very bold for a P42 (they're usually printed a little lighter, as you know).

I like adding T209 to the set but am getting antsy for a T210 want list hit lol. That said I really like the Chandler image.

Default P13 Luxello Cigar Pin

I've been wanting to add an example from this tough pin set for a long while since it fits my A's/Phillies type collection from the dead ball era. Was happy to finally pick one up for the collection this month.

Judging from the fact that the Barry pin wasn't one of the 22 examples from the Paul Muchinsky collection that were sold in the most recent Hake's auction, I would surmise that Barry might be an extra tough common in what can already be considered a scarce pin set.

Another Ruth card that used to be readily available on ebay for a fraction of what they go for now...I added this beaten up badboy to the stable...along with this stereoscoptic thing.

Just got this W502 of "Goose" from Greg Morris via eBay. Even though GM sells zillions of cards, I think this is my first purchase from GM.

I really wish this card was of Sam Rice, instead of Goose Goslin, as I need a W502 of Rice with this back and also with the THREE BAGGER back for my master Sam Rice card collection. Can anyone help?

Great stuff, Pete. You've been really picking up a lot of Ruth items recently.

Speaking up beaten up pickups, I recently picked up this very rough notebook.

Never seen this one before...very cool Paul!

And Andrew, nice Branch Rickey V100! I just looked. I think I'm down to four V100s needed to complete the set...Rickey is one of them. If you ever see another and want to make a buck off me, just say the word.

Very pleased to get a score card from the 1924 World Series--the only one the Senators (and Walter Johnson) ever won. Has some cool pictures of Walter Johnson, Goose Goslin and Sam Rice. Thank you to Lee/Sterling Sports Auctions!

Charles, nice pickup! Although Lee/Sterling called this a score card, it is actually a 1924 World Series program (the Washington version).

It seems to be a little of both--like a really elaborate Scorecard/Program. As you can see in the first picture, it does say "Official Score Card" on the front, and if you click on the flickr link, it shows the Scorecard for the Senators. Interestingly, on the cardboard that Sterling/Lee used to protect it, is written "1924 W.S. Program"

In one of Goldin's auctions, they called what I bought a "World Series Program Scorecard": https://goldinauctions.com/1924_gian...-lot14648.aspx
while Heritage has also called it a ScoreCard: https://sports.ha.com/itm/baseball-c...Auction-120115 as has the Smithsonian: https://americanhistory.si.edu/colle...t/nmah_1347772
Meanwhile, Mile High called it a Program: https://www.milehighcardco.com/1924-...-lot32219.aspx but calls it an "official scorecard" in their description.

Goldin Auctions had a lot in one of their other auctions that they titled "1924 World Series Program" that appears to be the equivalent, but for game 5 at the Polo Grounds, and which has a scorecard for the Giants.https://goldinauctions.com/LotDetail...entoryid=11489 So did REA: https://robertedwardauctions.com/auc...s-program-game

So perhaps it is a Program that has a scorecard?

Thanks, Derek. I’m planning on holding onto the Rickey, but if that ever changes, I will let you know.
