I bought and consigned with Sterling/Lee.
Quick & Easy. I consigned a 34 Goudey Gehrig (the yellow one), since i had a duplicate. Sold for about average...just keep in mind the Buyers Premium the bidders calculates towards the bid and the lesser audience ....dont go thinking this is a PWCC with wild prices and sheninagans.

Also, I like the option to Paypal as a buyer. Quick and easy for me. Not all AH's take Paypal it seems. Paypal is a great way to hide your many transactions from your wife, er, I mean that nosy postal worker who reads your credit card statements

I, too, have both purchased from and consigned to Sterling, and all of my experiences have been very good. Most important to me is what Ryan H. said: "Lee is ... an honest business man."
Another auction house that I don't believe has yet been mentioned in this thread and one that I encourage the OP to check out is Al Crisafulli's LOTG (Love of the Game) - Al is another honest businessman.

My favorite AH to consign to, along with REA. Al's integrity, expertise and amicability are second-to-none, and you will never be disappointed using LOTG. Last edited by perezfan; 01-31-2022 at 08:18 PM. |

While that may be true in theory, in practice very few bidders pay attention to the BP during the heat of bidding. Human nature.

Thanks all for the positive feedback! It is very much appreciated. I try to run Sterling the way I want to be treated as a buyer/seller, which I was for many years prior to buying Sterling. I am always available if you would like to call and discuss any aspect of buying or selling with Sterling.
A big benefit of consigning with that the bigger site can not offer at this time: Buyers do not have to pay sales tax at this time in any state but Minnesota. Which should translate to more money for the consignor! Always a collector that is happy to have a job in a hobby he loves! Lee Behrens 320-219-1372
