It sounds like you put in a "straight bid" instead of a "max-bid". I've done it before on accident at multiple sites. It usually demoralizes the other bidders, and you end up winning.

I think you first have to fill in the box for Your Initial Bid. Once you have an amount entered there, then the box for Your Maximum Bid will show a dropdown of bids you can select from and how many bids it will take for them to be topped.

I made the mistake of entering a straight bid when I wanted to enter a maximum bid on one of the lots, and CleanSweeps (Steve Verkman) was kind enough to quickly delete my bid for me after I reached out to them.
But yeah, its less fluid than some of the other auction houses that allow you to just enter your max. bid. at the next interval (or whatever amount you want). It seems to jump skip an interval, causing you to have to choose a higher max. bid. Last edited by cgjackson222; 02-03-2022 at 11:13 AM. |
